Content Editor & Creator
Beanstalk Consulting | Remote OR Tampa, FL), Contract (1099)
About the role
Beanstalk Consulting runs done-for-you outbound (cold email, LinkedIn, paid ads) for B2B companies. Founder Dean Fiacco is building a personal brand around how the business actually runs, with real numbers and no gloss, across YouTube, podcast appearances, and short-form clips.
This role covers four things: long-form edits, short-form clips cut from that footage or other source material, a hand in shaping what gets made next, and keeping raw material moving through the pipeline instead of sitting untouched. There's also some video editing for paid social ad creative, handed off to the paid ads team to run, since it's the same editing skill pointed at a different placement.
You'll work directly with the founder. No account managers, no creative committee, just you, the raw material, and a fast feedback loop.
What you'll do
*Edit long-form video (YouTube episodes, podcast appearances, interviews). Cut dead space, tighten pacing, keep people watching.
*Cut finished short-form clips from that footage, or from other source material, for IG, TikTok, X, and Shorts.
*Help pick what gets made next. Bring your own angles, topics, and hooks.
*Own the queue. Chase down raw footage, move it from filmed to finished to posted, flag anything stuck.
*Add captions, banners, and graphics that look like they belong on the platform.
*Build and maintain a thumbnail template so every long-form upload looks consistent.
*Edit video ad creative for paid social when it comes up, then hand the finished files to the paid ads team to run.
*Speak up when a hook's wrong or a clip's buried in the wrong spot.
What you bring
-Real reps editing both long-form (podcast, YouTube, interview) and short-form (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
-Fluency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for long-form, CapCut or similar for fast, native-feeling shorts. The finished clip is what matters. Use whatever gets you there.
-An eye for pacing. You can watch raw footage and know within seconds whether a moment is a clip.
-A caption or banner that looks "designed" gets scrolled past. Native beats polished.
-Comfortable reading view-through and retention data, and adjusting the next cut based on what it says.
-Organized enough to run your own production queue and help build the brief as you go.
-Fast, reliable communication. If something's blocked, you say so right away.
Nice to have
-An AI-assisted clipping tool in your workflow (Opus Clip, Descript, Submagic, or similar).
-Basic thumbnail or graphic design (Canva or Photoshop).
-Motion graphics in After Effects.
-Some exposure to editing video ad creative for paid social.
-You've edited for a personal brand or solo creator before, where the same person's voice has to hold across everything.
Structure
Contract (1099), fully remote. Tampa, FL is a plus if you'd rather work in person sometimes.
20 hours a week to start, at $2,000-3,000/month depending on experience. Room to scale to full-time as content volume grows, rate negotiated at that point.
Starts with a short paid test project on real footage, then a 60-day probationary period once you're in.
To apply
Send:
Social media work you've made or managed: links to actual posts, content, or campaigns, plus 2-3 video edits (at least one long-form, one short-form). Raw source next to the finished cut, if you have it. That shows us how you think, which matters more than which software you used.
A short Loom, 2-3 minutes. Introduce yourself, share 1-2 content ideas you'd bring to a B2B founder's personal brand, and name a creator or two whose style you'd point to as a reference.
Your availability, timezone, and whether you're Tampa-based or fully remote.
